    Hello! I'm Kristy Banks

    I'm a special education teacher in Seattle, WA with more than a decade of experience teaching grades three to twelve.

    My journey with mindfulness began in 2014 when I was forced to deal head on with my past personal trauma. It was the beginning of my personal growth journey which has expanded to include workshops, books, therapy, podcasts, and more.

    In 2016, I developed a mindfulness program for my school which increased emotional regulation and social awareness.

    In 2021, I earned my teacher certificate for Compassion Cultivation Training through the Compassion Institute (developed at Stanford University).

    I started and the 5-Day Program to help spread the benefits of mindfulness to educators, classrooms, and communities.
